When snow starts to fall, the Public Works salt trucks are the first to respond on the major streets, side streets and intersections. If the total snow fall is more than 3” then Public Works will deploy snow plows to the main streets first, then to the side streets.
In order to permit City plows to clear the street as close to the curb as possible, please follow the No Parking - Street Maintenance/Sweeping signs posted for your block.
Keep in mind that a snow emergency only exists if it is declared by the City of Berwyn to be a snow emergency situation. If a snow emergency is declared by the City, a sixty (60) second wailing siren will sound between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. and at that time, follow the signs on your block as to which side of the block you may park on.
